  4. TO USE DICTIONARIES:
  5. 1. Select the dictionaries in the Finder and double-click to open them in Nisus Writer.
  6. 2. See the Nisus Writer Reference manual, Dictionaries Preferences and Nisus Writer Basics manual, Chapter 10 for information on using dictionaries.

  8. TO USE A KEYBOARD LAYOUT:
  9. 1. Choose the desired keyboard layout from the Keyboards menu. (This menu appears when Language Extensions or Language Kits are installed in your System)
  10. OR
  11. 1. Open the “Keyboard” Control Panel. 
  12. 2. Select the desired keyboard layout from the list.

  14. TO SWITCH BACK TO THE U.S. KEYBOARD: 
  15. 1.    Select the “U.S.” keyboard layout from the Keyboards menu. (Available when Language Extensions are installed in System 7.1)
  16. OR
  17. 1.    Open the “Keyboard” Control Panel. 
  18. 2.    Select the “U.S.” keyboard layout from the list.

  24. Nisus French Hyphenation 
  25. Nisus French User Dictionary
  26. Keyboard Diagrams- French (Nisus Writer documents which diagram the location of each character on the keyboard, for you to use as a reference.)
  27. French, French Numeric and Canadian French (keyboard files, automatically installed into your System file)

  29. LANGUAGE SUPPORT:
  30. Powerful, practical and multilingual, Nisus Writer offers advanced language features in over 18 languages including: Arabic, Hebrew, Japanese, Russian and most European languages. Some languages require System additions (e.g. fonts, control panels, extensions, etc.) that may be purchased from Nisus Software or Apple Computer. Additionally, certain language capabilities require hardware copy protection device called the “Language Key”. Contact Nisus Software, Inc. for more information.
